1. Is the balloon ride safe?
Yes. The Dubai Balloon is a tethered helium system, professionally operated and anchored to the ground. It does not operate in unsafe weather conditions.
2. Does the balloon actually fly?
No. The balloon is securely tethered to the ground with strong cables. It only ascends and descends in a controlled manner and does not drift or float freely with the wind.
3. Is it suitable for people with a fear of heights?
The ascent is slow and smooth, and the enclosed gondola helps reduce discomfort. However, comfort levels vary by individual.
4. Can pregnant individuals participate?
Participation is not recommended in later stages of pregnancy. First-trimester participation may be allowed with medical approval.
5. Are there any weight or height restrictions?
Passengers over 100 kg (220 lbs) may require special approval before boarding. Safety checks are conducted prior to the ride.
6. Are weather conditions a factor?
